Join

In order to join CUAS please submit the membership form. If you encounter any problems with this form, please contact the Membership Secretary. The current membership charges are:

  • Annual membership: £9
  • Life membership: £15

Joining gives you some great opportunities. All speaker meetings and ObsNights are free to members. We always try to offer discounted rates for most social events. Members of the University also have to join in order to gain access to the telescopes on their own. Life membership means life membership – even after graduation you can come to meetings!

Membership is open to all members of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Universities. Other potential members are asked to contact the Membership Officer for more details.

Get involved

CUAS is run by students and we are always looking for others to get involved and help with the society. You don’t have to be an experienced observer (or indeed know anything about astronomy) or commit huge amounts of time to be on the committee. It is a great opportunity to meet people, learn about running a society and have a lot of fun – not mentioning the things you can learn about astronomy and observing if you want to. Don’t be shy and talk to any of us on the current committee.

Mailing List

We use an mailing list to send up-to-date announcements about our activities. This is open to everyone interested: please sign up here.
